Franklin the Colorful Fish

Franklin the Colorful Fish

In a sparkling blue ocean, there lived a little fish named Franklin. Franklin was different from all the other fish because he couldn't decide what color he wanted to be. Some days he was bright yellow, other days he was deep blue, and sometimes he was even purple with pink spots! Franklin's fish friends were amazed by his changing colors. "Wow, Franklin!" they would say. "How do you do that?" But Franklin didn't know. It just happened. One day, Franklin decided to go on an adventure to find out why he changed colors. He swam past waving seaweed and darted around colorful coral reefs. First, he met a wise old turtle. "Excuse me," Franklin said politely. "Do you know why I change colors?" The turtle smiled. "Perhaps it's because you're special, little one. Embrace your uniqueness!" Franklin thanked the turtle and swam on. Next, he came across a group of playful dolphins. "Hello!" Franklin called. "Can you tell me why I change colors?" The dolphins laughed and did flips in the water. "Maybe it's because you're full of joy, just like us!" they squeaked. Franklin grinned and swam deeper into the ocean. There, he found a glowing jellyfish. "Oh, hello there," Franklin said. "I'm wondering why I change colors. Do you know?" The jellyfish pulsed with light. "It could be that you're bright on the inside, and it shows on the outside," it said softly. Franklin thought about what everyone had said. He felt happy knowing he was special, joyful, and bright inside. As he swam home, Franklin passed by a big, gray shark who looked sad. "What's wrong?" Franklin asked. The shark sighed. "I wish I could be colorful like you. I'm just gray all the time." Franklin felt sorry for the shark. Then he had an idea. "Would you like to swim with me? My colors might reflect on your scales and make you shine!" The shark's eyes lit up. "Really? You'd do that for me?" "Of course!" said Franklin. "That's what friends are for!" So Franklin and the shark swam together through the ocean. Franklin's bright colors shimmered on the shark's scales, making them both glow with all the colors of the rainbow. Franklin realized that his changing colors were a gift. He could make others happy and help them see the colorful side of life. From that day on, Franklin used his special gift to bring joy to all the sea creatures. He learned that being different wasn't just okay – it was wonderful! And every night, as Franklin settled down to sleep in his cozy anemone, he smiled, excited to see what new color he might be in the morning.
