The little red hen - helping hands
In a cozy coop on Sunny Acres Farm lived a little red hen named Henrietta. One sunny morning, Henrietta clucked excitedly, "Look at all this golden wheat! It's time to bake bread!" But her friends, Barnaby the Big Bull, Fiona the Fancy Fox, and Gus the Grumpy Goose, weren't interested. "Too much work!" they grumbled, playing games or taking naps. Henrietta felt a bit lonely. "Fine," she said, "I'll make the bread myself. But remember, no bread without help!" So, Henrietta went to work. She thumped the wheat with her beak, whirred it into flour, and kneaded a big, round dough. It was hard work, but finally, the oven filled with the delicious smell of fresh bread. The coop door burst open. "Wow, Henny! That smells amazing!" Barnaby exclaimed. Fiona's eyes sparkled. "Can we have some?" she chirped. Henrietta smiled. "Of course, but first, let's all help!" Barnaby, surprised at first, offered to help clean the coop. Fiona, wanting bread badly, promised to plant new seeds for next year’s harvest. Even Gus, with a grumpy mumble, agreed to pull weeds from the garden. Together, they worked hard. Barnaby scrubbed, Fiona planted, and Gus, surprisingly, enjoyed pulling up the green weeds. Soon, the coop was sparkling clean, the garden looked happy, and Henrietta presented them with warm, yummy bread. From that day on, whenever it was time to bake bread, everyone in the coop pitched in. They learned that helping each other made everything more fun, and fresh bread always tasted better when everyone shared the work!
